What TvGramPlayer is

TvGramPlayer (com.network.tvgramplayer.playstore), by Lucas Rosillo Fuste, calls itself an unofficial messaging client that uses the Telegram API. Its listing names three things on top of Telegram's own: a built-in player for the media in your chats and channels, a Google Drive connection that plays your Drive files without downloading them first, and a layout for groups, channels and media.

On 19 October 2026 it cost $2.49 on Google Play in the United States, with 100+ downloads. It was last updated on 11 October 2026, as version 4.5.85, for Android 5.0 or newer. Its screenshots show a TV layout in Spanish, with playlists and favourites, though the listing does not name the devices it is made for. Its developer declares that it collects and shares no data.

Where TvGramPlayer is fine, or better

Chat on the TV too

TvGramPlayer is a whole Telegram client, so it reads and sends messages. TMPlayer cannot send anything: keep Telegram, or TvGramPlayer, for that.

Google Drive

TvGramPlayer plays your Google Drive files as well. TMPlayer plays only what is in your Telegram chats.

From Google Play

It installs and updates from Google Play. TMPlayer is not in the Play Store on a TV: it is installed once from its APK, then offers its own updates.

Older Android

Its listing asks for Android 5.0. TMPlayer needs Android 8.0 or newer.

Moving to TMPlayer

  1. Install TMPlayer

On an Android TV or Google TV, install the free Downloader app, type tmplayer.org/apk into it and allow the install. On a Fire TV, turn on Developer options first. On a phone or computer, take the file from the download page.

  2. Sign in with a QR code

Open TMPlayer and scan its code with Telegram on your phone: Settings, Devices, Link Desktop Device. You can also sign in with your phone number.

  3. Keep both if you like

Telegram lets several apps stay signed in to one account, so TvGramPlayer can stay for messages and Drive while TMPlayer plays the videos. Each one shows in Telegram under Settings, Devices.
